Emily Snow - Book Tour (Interview)

Blurb

Kylie Wolfe and guitarist Wyatt McRae have been bad for each other for the last several years, but it’s impossible for them to end their toxic push and pull. Not when their attraction is constantly fueled by lust and proximity—she’s her older brother’s Lucas’s assistant and Wyatt is his best friend and band mate.

So when Your Toxic Sequel makes a move to record a new album in Nashville, Kylie decides to make the latest break with Wyatt official by getting the hell out of town. She’ll spend a week in New Orleans. A week to immerse herself in the Mardi Gras scene. One week to not think about the last time she was in New Orleans, seven years ago with Wyatt. Seven days where she won’t have to see Wyatt every day just to fall ridiculously in love with him all over again—where, if she wants to, she can have a normal, no- strings attached fling that won’t end in heartbreak.

Too bad Wyatt ruins everything by showing up, as gorgeous and demanding and goddamn awful for her as ever.

Wyatt refuses to let Kylie give up on him. Not without reminding her why they both fell so far and hard in the first place. Not without making her savor the good memories and what could be their last chance with each other.

Note: This is a spinoff from the Devoured series.

Firstly thank you for taking the time to do this interview with me for Whirlwindbooks, I am a huge fan of your novels and cannot wait to read more!

I love all your books! I was just curious how did the idea for your current book series come about?

First, thank you so much for having me on your blog today, Fern! I’m excited to be here and I’m so happy to hear that you love my books. That means a lot to me. J The idea for the Savor Us books came about after writing Devoured (which was inspired by the Red Riding Hood fairytale). I had several readers who wanted to know more about Lucas Wolfe’s sister, Kylie, and I fell in love with her while I was writing Devoured and All Over You. Giving Kylie her own books just seemed like the right thing to do!

Do you have any weird writing rituals? You can tell us we don’t judge.

I don’t really have any weird writing rituals but I have been known to write while I’m in the bathtub. I’ll place my laptop on a stool next to the bath and type away while relaxing. Okay, so maybe that’s a little weird! But seriously, I write all over the place and anytime my children decide to let me have a break. ;)

How long would you say it takes you to write a book?

It all depends. I’ve finished a first draft in a couple of weeks and some first drafts take quite a bit longer. Just depends on how much my characters are talking to me as I’m writing. I can say that Kylie and Wyatt refused to be quiet while I worked on Savor You, and that was a good thing!

How did you find the support from other Authors? I have always been curious if it is a welcoming world or if you have to gain respect to be considered a part of it.

That’s one of the things that I love the most about the Indie community—there is a tremendous amount of support and everyone is so welcoming. Authors really want to see each other succeed, and it’s great! I’m so grateful to be a part of all of this.

How much of the book came from your imagination and how much came from real people and experiences?

Ooh, that’s a good one! I’d have to say that Savor You is 95% imagination and 5% real people and experiences. And before anyone asks, I swear my husband DOESN’T have a Prince Albert. ;)
