“One choice can make you or break you. That one choice can be life changing. Choose right or choose wrong. What’s more important…..Fun or Happiness? That one choice is yours.”
This is a book I have literally been waiting months for, the synopsis was all it took for me to get hooked as it was different from what I have been reading and everyone loves a good bad boy story in fact I would say a bad boy is just my flavour of man candy.
Coming from a highly privileged yet cold background Abigail is glad to be moving to New York to pursue her dream of attending Juilliard thee last thing she expected was to meet a boy from the other side of the tracks and feel not only an attraction towards him but also a connection.
“When I danced, I felt as if I was the only person who mattered. I was in control – not my mother, not school, not even my etiquette. I was free.”
Abigail has never been a relationship so everything she feels in confusing and new, especially as she is scare that a boy like Tucker could break her heart - He has experience and is older than her so this is more than a little intimidating.
“I also gotta tell ya that you look pretty hot in your black swimming suit you’re wearing.” Tucker looking behind me, I’m sure at my butt.
I started laughing so hard; my face flamed up and burned my cheeks from my smile.
“It’s a leotard, Tucker,” I smirked.
“Oh, you’re such a smartass,” Just then, Tucker grabbed me and held me up in his strong arms and I was able to wrap my legs around his waist.”
Tucker has grown up in the most unideal of situations; his mother was a junkie and he had to learn to fend for himself at a very early age. He also thinks that Abigail deserves so much better and he is determined to be a better person for her.
"God, Gabs. You do something inside me that makes me want to be a better person. You're pure. That's why I gotta go do this; sever ties, pretty much. That's the only way I can explain it right now"
This is a story all about personal growth and that is an amazing thing to see, I loved seeing these characters flourish into something new and be the person they have always wanted to be. The journey these characters have to take isn't easy but it shows that you can overcome the worst.
I am now a dedicated fan of Nichele and cannot wait to devour what she gives us next because you know it can only get better.
