It didn’t matter that the ref called it a clean hit. Nico Hunter would never be the same.

Elle has a good life. A job she loves, a great apartment, and the guy she’s been dating for more than two years is a catch and a half.  But it’s boring…and she strives to keep it that way. Too many emotions are dangerous. Her own past is living proof of what can happen when you lose control.

Then Nico walks into Elle’s office and everything changes…for both of them. But what can the tattooed, hard-bodied MMA fighter and the beautiful and always steady attorney have in common? A lot more than they bargained for.

 Review -

MMA Fighter - Tattoo's - Alpha Male - SWOON

Oh my this is the kind of book that will cause your panties to literally melt and you cheeks to flush - in fact I think my whole body might have flushed on more than one occasion. Nico Hunter literally stole my heart, I wanted and needed him and could not consume this book quick enough.

"Elle, run while you have the chance. You can't fix me. I'm not some project for you to take on like charity. You're better off with someone who is more like you."

Elle James is out female and the complete opposite of Nico - she is calm and collected and works as an attorney. Her life is simple and uncomplicated but somehow it still doesn't feel right but that all changes the day Nico walks into her office needing her help to get out of an endorsement contract. Literally like a moth to a flame she is drawn to him - but who can blame her when faced with such a sexy smile.

Nico was once a professional MMA fighter - and also a qualified sexual being, I'm positive if there was a course he would be top of his class and possibly letting the teacher know a few knew things. Since a tragic accident happened where his opponent was killed he has lived his life guilt ridden and unable to move forward. The moment he meets Elle it is like a part of him awakes and the numbness he has been living with slowly begins to lift - she is what he needs to move on and overcome his past.

'His lips turning upward in a smirk just before he bites down on my finger. Hard. Pain shoots through me, mixed with need and desire. Nico releases my finger and I think I hear him say, " There's the fire," and then he's on me. His mouth covers mine and we fuse together.'

Just like Nico Elle has had a traumatic past - she has lives her life feeling disconnected and finally she can feel the passion she has been missing she doesn't just want Nico she needs him to survive. Nico and Elle need each other to move on with their lives and overcome the challenges they have faces.

"When we met, we were two injured souls. But keeping the real out of our lives for fear of what we might find. But nothing could have kept us apart. I never believed in destiny. Thought that was a bunch of crap for people who read too many books. Until you."

I love this book - actually love it. It was brilliantly written and I was able to connect with the characters in such a way that I felt what they where feeling and took the journey with them. The sex appeal in this book left me with an itch that could not be scratched except of course by the lovely Nico. This book had everything you need to keep you entertained and more, I encourage you to add this book to the top of your pile - Get ready to loose yourself in this amazing story.

4.5/5 stars.

About the Author

Vi Keeland is a native New Yorker with three children that occupy most of her free time, which she complains about often, but wouldn't change for the world. She is a bookworm and has been known to read her kindle at stop lights, while styling her hair, cleaning, walking, during sporting events, and frequently while pretending to work.  She is a boring attorney by day, and an exciting smut author by night!
