Christmas Questions - Kelsie Leverich

Here is Author Kelsie Leverich and her Christmas Answers!

What is your favourite Christmas Memory?
The year we got a trampoline. I think I was thirteen or fourteen. My parents set it up in the garage and told us girls to look in the garage. We were so excited! We jumped on it for hours, although we couldn’t jump too high since we were in the stinkin’ garage, but it’s the Christmas that sticks out the most. Spending hours with my little sisters jumping. J
Best Gift you have received?
I got a guitar when I was in fourth grade. A real, grown-up guitar. I played it and played it and played it before I opened up any other gifts!
Best Gift you have given?
To be honest, each Christmas since I’ve become a mommy has been pretty amazing in the gift giving aspect. I don’t think I could pick just one, because seeing my kids get excited about the gifts whether it be the coloring book in their stocking or the dirt bike or the Barbie dream house, it’s all great it its own cheesy way. J
Do you have any Christmas Horror Stories?
My husband just came home from Iraq December 7th. It was our first Christmas Eve as parents, our son was 9 months old. We lived far away from family, so it was just us. So naturally I try to go big and make a grand Christmas Eve dinner for my husband…..and I catch the oven on fire…flames, lots and lots of flames.  Did I mention my husband is a firefighter? Thank God!
Any Christmas traditions?
We open 1 present on Christmas Eve, and it’s always Christmas jammies. Always. Then we make home-made hot cocoa and watch A Christmas Story. I did this growing up and carried the tradition on with my family.
Favourite Christmas movie?
A Christmas Story. But my kids love anything on TV that has to do with Christmas. I think we’ve watched Good Luck Jessie Christmas special 20 times already….and it’s only December 4th!
Where is the Elf on a shelf?
Right now, he is literally on the book shelf. Lame, I know. Maybe tomorrow I will stick him in the pantry and threaten my kids away from the candy my sister brought over.
Favourite Christmas food?
That is tough. I love cookies, and my mom makes the best sugar cookies.

Author Bio:
Kelsie Leverich grew up in the small town of St. Joseph Illinois before getting married and following her husband from one Army post to another.  After eight years, they finally settled down in Avon, Indiana with two adorable knuckleheads that are better known as her kids.  Kelsie's life revolves around her family (to include two dogs and a cat) and most of the time, actually all of the time, it’s a crazy mess—but that’s the way she loves it!  When Kelsie’s not writing, you can usually find her snuggling on the couch with her kids and a good book or out on the lake with family and friends.  Kelsie is not a morning person, has a soft spot for animals, loves musicals, hates seafood, and thinks laundry is the source of all evil.
