New York Times bestselling author J. Kenner kicks off a smoking hot, emotionally compelling new trilogy that returns to the world of her beloved Stark novels: Release Me, Claim Me, and Complete Me. Say My Name features Jackson Steele, a strong-willed man who goes after what he wants, and Sylvia Brooks, a disciplined woman who’s hard to get—and exactly who Jackson needs.
Meeting Jackson Steele was a shock to my senses. Confident and commanding, he could take charge of any room . . . or any woman. And Jackson wanted me. The mere sight of him took my breath away, and his touch made me break all my rules. Our bond was immediate, our passion untamed. I wanted to surrender completely to his kiss, but I couldn’t risk his knowing the truth about my past. Yet Jackson carried secrets too, and in our desire we found our escape, pushing our boundaries as far as they could go. Learning to trust is never easy. In my mind, I knew I should run. But in my heart, I never felt a fire this strong—and it could either save me or scorch me forever.
Say My Name is intended for mature audiences
"I'm a businesswoman with a lucrative proposition. I'm not a starry-eyed girl getting weak-kneed around the ultra-sexy man of the hour."
Running from a past, disguised as taking control of her future is exactly what Sylvia is doing. With her current project hanging in the balance after losing the key element, she is left with one option of making her dreams come to fruition.
"You want me on the project, I want you in my bed."
Jackson and Sylvia have a history. One that she ran from five years prior...one that he is hell-bent on making her remember. But, he doesn't have to do much, Sylvia remembers everything and that is what scares her. What little control she thought she had over her life swiftly leaves with nothing but heartache in it's wake...and the last time it happened, it nearly destroyed them both.
"I want his touch. I want his hands. I want everything he has to offer. But god help me, I don't want to lose it again. I don't want to be so overwhelmed that control is ripped away from me. I don't want to be scared of my own reaction."
I cannot tell you how much I have missed reading J. Kenner's work. With just one page, I was hooked right back into the fantasy world she evokes with a stroke of her keyboard. It's a world I never want to leave. This story gave me everything. I was swooned, I was angry, I was hurt, I was hot as all get out! Overall though, I fell in love. Sylvia and Jackson resonated so well within me that I never wanted to stop reading. I want to follow them until...forever.
This was a great way to spin off of Damian Stark, I cannot wait for more! It's all new and yet so familiar...like a warm, fuzzy blanket that I just want to wrap up in and snuggle with. Yes, that's exactly what I did...I snuggled up with Jackson Steele and Say My Name.
